Enjoying the Snow with a Christmas Dinner Recap!

Well, I’ve got to show everyone the wonderful snow here in North Carolina. (below)  Wow!! 6 inches and it’s still snowing and will be for a few more hours. YEAH!! I’ll be making snow cream again!!  A deer appeared first thing this morning in the front yard. The photo is taken from INSIDE the house…LOL

I also wanted to show my brother and sister-in-law’s decorations and the wonderful food we had for our Christmas meal at their home in Wake Forest, NC. What a great Smithfield/Paula Deen ham!! I ended up creating a potato casserole, altering the recipe on the box. Enjoy the photos.

A Great Corn Casserole that tasted like a fluffy souffle.

My mom made a large batch of collard greens. Yummy!!

My Bread Crumb-Topped Potato Casserole (I’ll be putting this recipe on the blog later, And SO EASY!!)

Michelle made Barefoot Contessa’s Red Velvet Cupcakes along with some other wonderful goodies.

A Wonderful Strawberry Cheesecake Dip with Cinnamon Cookies.

Yummy Brownies!!

About amrecipes

My love of cooking has taken over. I was on the net one day and saw an ad for a recipe contest. I entered. Then, I entered another. Then another, and so on and when I won a contest... an entire year's worth of tomato products, I was hooked. Since then, I've entered many many different recipe contests. I have won a trip to New York, entries into cook-offs, a recipe published in a Kraft/Paula Deen cookbook and many food products and food related items. I enjoy cooking and entering recipe contests. I hope I spark an interest in others to create something they can be proud of. I'm always getting more ideas from the internet. Wow, I remember not having the internet years ago. It's a God send and I'm trying to cover every inch of the food sites!! Join me in my quest to keep fresh ideas flowing and creating new and exciting dishes.

Well, if you’re snowed in, at least you won’t starve. In fact you will eat like kings. Great work and happy holidays.
